When I first reviewed the original Killer Nic card, a couple of years ago, I was not only impressed with the card itself but company behind it. For the first time, we had a company which devoted itself to taking one of online gaming’s biggest complaints – lag – head-on. Its chief mad-scientist behind the Killer technology is Beverly Harlan – the same dude responsible for architecting the Intel Pro/100 fame and other Intel server-related networking technologies. His pedigree in networking know-how is the most exhaustive I’ve ever seen in today’s PC gaming market.

Earlier this year, I took a trip out to Austin Texas to meet with the Bigfoot folks and to get a chance to peek at its new Xeno first-hand. I can unequivocally say that everyone at Bigfoot is 100% committed to producing a product that not only tackles lag but also introduces some other swanky features which I know many gamers will clamor to.

Xeno is the latest generation of networking card from Bigfoot and also its first to use an add-in board partner in the form of eVGA – additionally, it’s also the company’s first PCI-e card as well; which I know is a very good move away from the old, antiquated PCI bus.
