NVIDIA has recognized this dilemma and today has introduced its nForce 7150 integrated graphics solution which brings advanced DirectX9 features into a price category once thought unreachable by such a robust GPU.

The 7150 mGPU takes its roots and heritage from the formidable 7000-series desktop GPUs which means it has all the DX9 features so much of today’s software runs in. It comes in three models which vary by clock speed and FSP support. The flagship 7150 will come in the nForce 630i chipset, is clocked at 630MHz and supports 1333MHz FSP. Second up is the 7100 clocked at 600MHz and also uses the 630i chipset and it has the same CPU and FSP support. Lastly is the 7050 which rides on the nForce 610i chipset, supports the 1066MHz bus, DDR2-667 and is clocked to 500MHz. System memory speed will be a factor in how the graphics performance is as well. Word from NVIDIA suggests the usual suspects of motherboard makers are in cue to release boards on these varying chipsets.
