One can’t help but notice the massive heatsink which has now become a hallmark, signature item of ASUS’-branded “Silent” video cards. It uses a swing-arm type cooler which can be positioned either horizontally or vertically, depending on your particular configuration and/or cooling needs – you’ll want to experiment to get the best cooling results.

ASUS includes a rather typical retail bundle for the EN8600GTS Silent – a driver CD, two DVI adapters, Component Video out, utilities and DVD playback software. It comes in both 512MB and 256MB varieties – this one we’re looking at is configured with 256MB or GDDR3.
